Marsh Fleabane aka Sweetscent (Pluchea odorata)

Description: a 1-3' herbaceous wildflower of moist areas, including freshwater and brackish wetlands, with white-turning-pink flower clusters.  Attracts butterflies and other pollinators. Leaves when crushed give off a strong camphor-like aroma variably perceived as sweet and delicious (hence the name) or pungent and detestable. 

Care: Needs moist soil, will grow in periodically inundated areas, including coastal wetlands. Likes full or partial sun. Ideal for a rain garden or any moist area.

Pros: Needs little care after it's established.  Tolerant of brackish water.

Cons: Doesn't tolerate dry soil
