Description: Twining or spreading vine with thin stems and arrowhead-shaped leaves. Pink flowers are ¾” with contrasting dark violet or purple throat.
Natural Habitat: Rock pinelands. Endemic to Miami-Dade in the U.S.
Planting and Care: After establishment, doesn’t require much care.
Pros: A rapid grower. Beautiful flowers. Doesn’t smother surrounding vegetation as larger morning-glories often do.
Cons: In cultivation may behave like an annual or short-lived perennial, unlike many other morning-glories, which are longer-lived. Flowers and seeds of morning-glories are toxic to dogs and cats.
