Tea-Blinkum aka Cinchweed (Pectis glaucescens)

Description: A short-lived mat-forming herb with thin aromatic leaves and tiny yellow flowers.

Natural Habitat:  Rock and sandy pinelands.

Planting and Care:  Does well in poor and dry soil once established.  

Pros:  Its fast growth rate and dense habit make it an ideal groundcover, for both weed control and to give texture in a flower garden or restoration. Re-seeds easily in clear ground, and has abundant miniscule flowers in full sun.

Cons: Annual, and needs some sun for best appearance.
