Water Cowbane (Tiedmannia filiformis)

Description:  A perennial herbaceous wildflower in the carrot family with long cylindrical basal leaves and umbels of small white flowers on top of 2-4 ft tall stalks.

Natural Habitat: Moist areas/wetlands throughout most of Florida & SE USA.

Planting and Care: Best in moist areas or in/adjacent to water features.  

Pros: A big pollinator attractant and host for the Black Swallowtail butterfly. 

Cons: Requires moist soil, not drought-tolerant.
